Shayne Blue - Bio

Shayne Blue grew up in a creative home in the suburbs of Los Angeles. She was inspired by her family of authors, songwriters, violinists and dancers. Since music was a part of her daily life, it is no wonder that Shayne began writing songs when she was 12 years old. After years of writing and singing her songs Shayne taught herself to play the guitar.

She started played solo acoustic shows and electric gigs with her band Theodore around Los Angeles, which lead Shayne to tour California's hottest and smallest clubs. Whether playing the Viper Room in LA or the Catalyst in Santa Cruz, Shayne loved playing to a live audience and the feeling of reaching a crowd. To earn her guitar chops, Shayne spent over a year in Europe playing in clubs and bars. Influenced by the strong guitar riffs of Led Zeppelin and the melodies of The Beatles and The Carter Family, Shayne's musical taste is nothing short of eclectic.

Shayne Blue's recent project, Theodore, released their CD 'Goodbye' earlier this year. With personal songs and a feminine take of a rock classic - "Goodbye" is a must listen.

Some highlights of the album include:

• "The Feel of You" is a musical exploration of love, sex and intimacy.
• "Goodbye" expresses a young woman's journey to find the balance among love and fear in her relationship.
• A sultry cover of the Steve Miller Band classic "Rockin' Me which was featured in the movie "The Big Bounce".

With the release of Shayne Blue's band, Theodore CD 'Goodbye', Shayne has given us an opportunity to listen to her first release produced by Rich Mouser. Now living in Venice, CA with her weiner dog Louie Darnell, Shayne Blue is currently in the studio working on her first acoustic CD and booking both solo acoustic and Theodore shows.
